Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of Magpie (“the app”), a clipboard manager for macOS, and the website magpieapp.dev. Magpie is provided by an individual developer, Sanatzhan Aimukambetov (“we”, “us”), based in the Republic of Kazakhstan. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Magpie on Apple devices that you own or control, for your personal or internal business use, in accordance with these Terms and (where applicable) the Apple Media Services Terms and the standard Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

What you may not do

• Resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the app or license keys.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app, except to the extent the law expressly permits.
• Use the app to break the law or to infringe anyone’s rights.
• Circumvent any licensing, payment, or technical limitations.

Your content

Magpie stores your clipboard history and related data locally on your Mac. You are responsible for your own data and for keeping backups. We have no access to it and cannot recover it for you.

Purchases, trials, and refunds

If you buy Magpie or start a paid trial, the purchase is handled by the relevant store or payment processor (for example, the Apple App Store or our checkout provider). Their terms, billing, and refund policies apply to the transaction. Subscriptions, if offered, renew and can be cancelled according to those policies.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app.

Termination

These Terms apply while you use the app. You may stop using and delete the app at any time. We may suspend or end the license if you materially breach these Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without regard to conflict of law rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
